Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What speeds does this Wi-Fi 5 card support?
This card supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) with theoretical speeds up to 867 Mbps on Dual Band (2.4/5 GHz). Actual speeds depend on your router, distance, and signal conditions.

Q: Does this card include Bluetooth?
Yes — this card includes Bluetooth 4.2 in addition to WiFi. Both use a single M.2 slot and a single driver package. No separate Bluetooth adapter is needed; your OS will detect both the WiFi and Bluetooth interfaces automatically.

Q: How do I install drivers for this Intel card?
Windows 10/11: Drivers install automatically via Windows Update in most cases. For manual installation, search “Intel 7265NGW driver” on Intel’s Download Center (downloadcenter.intel.com). Linux: Supported out-of-the-box via the iwlwifi kernel module on Ubuntu 20.04+, Fedora 34+, and most modern distros.

Q: Does this card come with antenna cables?
No — antenna cables are pre-installed inside your laptop and connect to the card using standard MHF4 (IPEX) snap connectors. This card has 2 antenna connectors. You reuse your existing cables; no additional parts are needed.

Q: Is this the original card from a Lenovo ThinkPad?
Yes — this card was removed from a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. It is genuine OEM hardware. While it was pulled from a Lenovo ThinkPad, it will work in any laptop that accepts the same form factor and interface — not just Lenovo ThinkPad models.
